About The Position

The Custodian is responsible for performing routine custodial duties in assigned areas to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment. This includes cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, classrooms, offices, hallways, and other facilities. The Custodian will also be responsible for trash removal, floor care (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, waxing), window cleaning, and reporting any maintenance or repair needs. This position operates on a night shift from 2 PM to 10 PM and is a 12-month position working 8 hours per day.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to perform routine custodial tasks.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
• Must be able to work the night shift, 2 PM to 10 PM.
• Must complete the entire three (3) year work history in the "Experience and Credentials" section of the application, including periods of unemployment, schooling, and volunteer work.
• Required documents must be attached at the time of application.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine custodial duties in assigned areas to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, classrooms, offices, hallways, and other facilities.
• Remove trash and debris from assigned areas.
• Perform floor care, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and waxing.
• Clean windows and glass surfaces.
• Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel.
• Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines.
