Requirements

• Ability to vacuum, mop, dust, wash walls, wash windows and other surfaces
• Ability to clean sinks, showers, and toilets.
• Ability to use vacuum, mop and pail, and other related equipment.
• Knowledge of the correct and safe use of proper cleaning supplies.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing for the purpose of instructions, record keeping and communicating issues with students and staff.
• Must possess a valid California Driver's License and participate in the DMV Pull Notice
• Required to hold a valid drivers license, have a driving record that is in accordance with local policies/procedures, and/or enroll in the California Employer Pull Notice Program.
• Must be able to provide proof of work authorization

Nice To Haves

• Bi-lingual Spanish/English.
• A minimum of 1 year of experienceExperience working in a maintenance, custodial, or janitorial role within a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Daily floor care
• Dusting
• Bathroom cleaning and disinfecting
• Kitchen cleaning
• Cleaning of fixtures and furniture
• Interior and exterior trash removal
• Window cleaning
• Additional tasks as necessary (i.e. furniture moving) to ensure all facilities are maintained at a high level of cleanliness
• Weekend work during open and closing and during peak work periods
• After-hours emergency response and cleaning
