Custodian - Part-Time
About The Position
The Virginia Department of Military Affairs State Team provides professional and responsive state support functions to the Adjutant General of Virginia, the Virginia National Guard, the Virginia Air Guard, and the Virginia Defense Force in order to ensure their ability to support and defend the United States and the Commonwealth of Virginia. The Custodian will serve as a reliable and competent staff member with a positive attitude and proven experience cleaning. This position is part-time and ineligible for state benefits. This position is limited to working 1500 hours per year. This posting is hiring two (2) part-time Custodians. One will report to our Sandston location, the other will report to our Defense Supply Center - Richmond location off of Chippenham Parkway.
Requirements
- Knowledge of chemicals, dilutions, and cleaning applications
- Knowledge of cleaning equipment and procedures
- Experience with Above-the-Floor Cleaning, including glass, stainless, wood, plastic, etc.
- Experience using floor buffer machines and floor waxing
- Experience with inventory supplies and equipment
- Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record required
- Must obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC)
- Must have, and maintain, a valid Driver’s License for the duration of employment
