About The Position

Performs a variety of general building and grounds cleaning/maintenance tasks in an assigned work area. The work schedule will vary, but the employee must be available to work nights and weekends. This role is essential for maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of Parkstourism facilities.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• At least one (1) year of experience performing general cleaning duties, including the use of floor cleaning/maintenance equipment required.
• Must be able to work evenings and weekends.
• Must be able to perform routine repetitive tasks on a continuous basis.
• Must be able to maintain specified area for cleanliness.
• Must be able to move, carry or deliver objects necessary to work areas.
• Must be able to stand 1-hour per duration of task.
• Must be able to walk up to 2-hours per duration of task.
• Must be able to sit up to 30-minutes per duration of task.
• Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50-lbs.
• Must be able to climb a ladder up to 10-minutes daily.
• Must be able to balance while performing duties.
• Must be able to stoop, bend, crouch, crawl, and reach for up to 2-hours a day.
• Must have the knowledge of common cleaning tools.
• Must be able to maintain cleaning equipment.
• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
• Must have excellent customer service skills.

Nice To Haves

• A valid Texas Class “C” Driver’s License with a clear driving record is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Properly sweep, mop, wax and buff floors of Parkstourism facilities.
• Gather and dispose of all trash and waste.
• Clean restrooms.
• Wash walls and windows.
• Clean lighting fixtures, tops of windows, and door frames.
• Operate and maintain mechanical cleaners and polishers.
• Set up tables, chairs, stages, and other equipment.
• Assist in moving objects.
• Complete delivery of department items.
• Perform grounds maintenance as required.
• Change light bulbs and ceiling tiles with lift.
• Maintain and organize closets and report supply needs.
• Perform building maintenance and/or issues as needed.
