About The Position

Maintain the proper upkeep and cleanliness of the buildings and grounds; maintain the utility infrastructure of the school campus. Requirements

Self-motivated with the ability to perform duties with minimal oversight
Excellent communication skills
Works well on a team
Enthusiasm for working in a school environment, serving its students and staff
High School diploma or GED
At least 1 year of experience in a custodial or grounds keeping role preferred

Responsibilities

Perform daily custodial operations including cleaning of classrooms, offices, restrooms, laboratories, stairways, corridors, closets, gymnasium, locker rooms, and lobbies
Follow Universal Standard Precautions and safety protocol when appropriate
Maintain the upkeep of the facility and furniture to include repairs, painting, and cleaning, including the management of waste disposal
Assist the facility manager in the maintenance of the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems of the facility
Perform routine and special project work on the facility and grounds (e.g., building drama set for school play)
Assist with snow removal and grounds maintenance
Attend all training as assigned by Facility Manager
Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director
