About The Position
The Custodian is responsible for performing routine custodial duties in an assigned school or facility to ensure a clean, safe, and sanitary environment. This includes cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, classrooms, offices, and other areas; emptying trash and recycling receptacles; sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors; and performing minor maintenance tasks as needed. The Custodian will also be responsible for maintaining an inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, and reporting any maintenance or repair needs to the supervisor. This position operates within a 12-month work schedule with 8-hour shifts.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to perform routine custodial duties.
- Knowledge of cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
- Must be able to complete the entire three (3) year work history in the "Experience and Credentials" section of the application, including periods of unemployment, schooling, and volunteer work.
- Required documents for the job must be attached at the time of application.
