About The Position

This position is grant funded. Therefore, it is solely dependent on availability of grant funds. Performs general maintenance and repairs for City facilities, including sweeping, mopping, disinfecting areas, and other cleaning duties.

Requirements

• At least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Valid Texas Driver License. If applicant holds an out-of-state license, a State of Texas Driver License must be obtained within 6 months of employment.
• Thorough background check and certified school transcripts will be required from all applicants who are offered employment.
• Must undergo a drug and alcohol test prior to employment.
• Must be able to function in a principle-based organization that has a culture built on character and core values.

Responsibilities

• Dusts chairs, tables, shelves, and other furniture or equipment; cleans and polishes furniture and metal or woodwork.
• Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms; replaces toilet paper and paper towels.
• Vacuums, sweeps, mopping, and buffs the floors; shampoos carpet.
• Collects and disposes of trash and debris both indoor and outdoor.
• Performs minor repairs of leaking water lines, as needed; unclogs sinks and commodes.
• Performs general errands including delivering and distributing mail.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
