About The Position

The Facility and Grounds Maintenance Worker maintains the facility and grounds to ensure full and productive use of the facility. This is a temporary, part-time position for the 2026–2027 school year, with employment beginning in August 2026 and ending in May 2027.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Strong communication skills and judgment.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Knowledge of safety hazards and proper use of various cleaning and sanitizing solutions.
• Detail-oriented and thorough.
• Ability to perform basic repairs and operate tools or equipment used in routine maintenance.
• Ability to keep the clubhouse clean and orderly.
• Ability to interact with staff, members, parents, and visitors at the Clubs while remaining professional, polite, and courteous.
• Ability to operate various types of power equipment, including lawnmowers, trimmers, hedge trimmers, leaf blowers, and other landscaping equipment.
• Ability to use hand tools required for landscaping.
• Ability to follow instructions and complete assignments.

Responsibilities

• Performs general cleaning and janitorial duties in the common areas of the building.
• Collects and discards litter or other waste materials.
• Performs minor repairs and maintenance, such as replacing light fixtures or unclogging pipes.
• Cleans and sanitizes restrooms and gymnasium.
• Performs limited grounds maintenance such as mowing lawns and trimming bushes, shrubs, weeds and hedges, and cleaning sidewalks.
• Empties trash and recycling containers.
• Applies fertilizer, pesticides, and herbicides as directed.
• Ensures heating and cooling systems are operational.
• Maintains a neat and orderly janitor’s room; ensures cleaning and maintenance supplies are stocked.
• Washes windows.
• Assists in examining clubhouse for safety hazards; reports deficiencies to Fleets and Facilities Manager and/or Branch Director.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
