The Custodian (Janitorial / Housekeeping) is responsible for maintaining the clean and sanitary conditions in assigned areas, such as, exhibit, common areas, employee break area, and other locations within the exhibit. The individual will perform janitorial duties adhering to approved department cleaning procedures including Covid 19 sanitizing guidelines. As a representative of the Custodial/ Janitorial Department, this individual is expected to present oneself in a manner that reflects professionalism and ensures company standards. Requirements

Ability to read and write English.
Follow written and oral instructions.
Ability to interpret directions on cleaning products and equipment.
Accepts criticism and deals calmly and effectively in stressful situations.

Responsibilities

Ability to follow instructions and pay attention to detail.
A positive attitude.
A flexible schedule: ability to work days and weekends.
Experience with general Janitorial duties and cleaning equipment.
Prior work experience in a physically demanding field: Environmental Services and Janitorial.
Thorough knowledge of the common tools, equipment, and materials used in cleaning and maintenance activities.
Thorough knowledge of methods used in the cleaning of buildings.
Experience and ability to operate general hand tools and cleaning equipment
Ability to maintain cleaning equipment and machinery.
Thorough knowledge of occupational hazards and safety rules and regulations.
Considerable knowledge of employee policies and procedures.
