University Housing Facilities is looking for Custodians to join our 1st and 2nd shift teams! Requirements

English proficiency with the ability to speak, read, write, and understand verbal instructions
A valid driver's license, or a valid driver's license which meets UW Risk Management standards

Nice To Haves

3 months of previous cleaning, custodial, hospitality, or related experience
6 months of previous continuous employment

Responsibilities

Communicate with residents and guests to address needs and service requests
Complete work in occupied or vacant residence hall and dining spaces
Demonstrate and role model exceptional customer service
Promote and participate in a collaborative team environment
Maintain and implement prescribed cleaning standards
Provide support and assist as needed in the implementation of plans and procedures in the event of an emergency
Maintains organization of supply areas and equipment, documents inventory, and requests additional supplies as needed
Documents and reports repairs, violations, and pest control needs
Utilizes basic equipment and supplies to clean assigned facility areas and remove waste and recyclables
Assists residents and guests with event setup and take down
Monitors and secures facility interior and exterior entrances and reports issues to appropriate entities
Prepares, services, and/or maintains residence hall and dining facilities for residents and guests
Maintains clean and clear walkways to ensure they are free of debris, litter, snow, and ice
