About The Position

The Town of Marana is seeking a Custodian Supervisor to work in the Public Works Department. This is a full-time position and an exciting opportunity for an individual who is interested in making a direct impact by ensuring Town facilities provide a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for staff and visitors. This position also offers the opportunity to lead and supervise a team of custodial staff while supporting the daily operations of the department. The Town offers a competitive benefits package.

Requirements

Three or more years of experience in a related field.
Must complete both the Town of Marana background check and a motor vehicle records check.
Valid Arizona Driver License.
One year of supervisory experience or must complete the Town of Marana’s supervisor academy within one year of hire date.
Must complete a pre-employment physical and pass a 25-pound lift test.

Nice To Haves

Over three years’ experience working in a professional cleaning environment or related field.

Responsibilities

Provides leadership and development to assigned staff; establishes goals and objectives; participates in the recruitment process, evaluates work performance, ensures policy and procedure compliance, and monitors employee relations matters.
Manages day-to-day operations and maintenance; coordinates staff schedules and projects; manages labor, inventory and verifies the effective use of resources and quality work; manages customer service inquiries, complaints and public outreach.
Performs weekly site inspections for quality of work performed and safety standards, identifies areas in need of maintenance.
Assists with preparation of budget, contracts, and monitors spending.
Assist with scheduling contractors and vendors, project management and equipment repair.
Cleans and disinfects Town facilities (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, wiping/washing surfaces, equipment, fixtures).
