Requirements

Proven custodial or janitorial experience with knowledge of commercial or industrial cleaning techniques.
Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and other custodial tools.
Ability to handle chemical agents safely by understanding chemical handling safety procedures.
Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting, manual handling, and standing for extended periods.
Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to sanitation and safety protocol adherence.

Nice To Haves

Experience with facilities maintenance tasks including basic repairs and painting is preferred.
Customer service skills are a plus for interacting professionally with staff and visitors when needed.

Responsibilities

Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal to maintain cleanliness standards.
Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, polishers, and industrial vacuums to ensure floors and surfaces are spotless and well-cared-for.
Handle chemical agents safely during cleaning processes by following proper chemical handling safety procedures and safety protocol adherence.
Conduct general facilities maintenance tasks such as light repairs, painting (including residential painting), and inspecting equipment to ensure operational safety.
Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling of supplies, furniture, or equipment using safe lifting practices to prevent injury.
Maintain sanitation standards in restrooms, kitchens, and common areas by following established cleaning protocols.
Support overall building upkeep by performing minor repairs or notifying maintenance teams of larger issues needing attention.
