About The Position

Reliable Chevrolet Springfield is seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented Custodian/Maintenance Technician to maintain the cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency of its facility in Springfield, Missouri. The role supports a welcoming and professional environment for customers and staff and includes custodial work, facility inspections, minor repairs, and maintenance of building systems. The schedule consists of 10-hour shifts on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Pay is determined by experience.

Requirements

Ability to work 10-hour shifts on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Good communication skills and a reliable work ethic.
Physical ability to perform manual labor and lift moderate weights.
Must have a cellphone.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Background check and drug screen required.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in custodial services and/or facility maintenance.
Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
General understanding of regulations that affect building operations, such as OSHA.

Responsibilities

Perform routine cleaning and custodial duties throughout offices, restrooms, service areas, and other dealership premises.
Collect trash and clean windows and floors.
Inspect the interior and exterior of buildings on the premises and report discrepancies.
Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance on facility equipment and building systems.
Troubleshoot and assist with repairs to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems as needed.
Make minor repairs, record specific repair requests from management, and replace defective or worn items such as light bulbs.
Landscape and mow, and remove snow and ice from parking lots and premises.
Paint as needed.
Ensure areas comply with health and safety standards and company policies.
Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and maintenance materials and reorder as necessary.
Report maintenance concerns and hazards promptly to the appropriate department.
Support special projects and facility upgrades as directed by management.
Perform other duties as assigned.
