Custodian/Janitor - Chicago
About The Position
Blue Bird Day is a pediatric therapy clinic seeking a full-time Custodian/Janitor to join their team. The role involves cleaning and maintaining organization of all rooms based on a provided schedule, preparing treatment rooms for therapy to ensure safety, sanitizing high-use areas, and cleaning office, kitchen, and high-usage areas multiple times daily. The Custodian will also assist management as needed, report to their supervisor, attend staff meetings and company events, and follow all company policies and procedures. Requirements
- 1 year of custodian experience
- Experience working in a school or alike setting with children and/or clients with special needs preferred
Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain organization of all rooms based on provided schedule; site location may vary depending on company needs.
- Prepare treatment rooms for therapy to ensure safety of all staff and clients.
- Sanitize highly used areas with provided schedule.
- Clean office work areas, kitchen areas, and high usage areas several time daily.
- Assist management as needed.
- Report directly to your supervisor.
- Attend staff meetings and company events as needed.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Additional tasks as needed.
