Custodian/Janitor
About The Position
VSF Rentals is seeking a motivated and experienced custodian for full-time employment. This role involves performing all aspects of common area and final apartment cleaning, including unit turns, exterior maintenance (power washing, grounds keeping, trash removal), interior maintenance (common area cleaning, mopping, vacuuming, trash removal), and emergency clean-ups. The job requires travel between properties, potentially up to 40 miles one way, using a company vehicle. The ideal candidate is quality-focused, meets deadlines, and has a customer-focused attitude, fitting into a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma required.
- Ability to climb ladders as high as 16 feet.
- Ability to work on top of roofs.
- Ability to lift and carry at least 80 lbs.
- Must pass a background check.
- Must pass an occupational health screening.
- Must have a clean driving record.
Responsibilities
- Perform final cleaning of units prior to new residents moving in (Unit Turns).
- Conduct exterior maintenance including power washing, light grounds keeping, and trash pick-up and removal.
- Perform interior maintenance such as common area cleaning, mopping, vacuuming, and trash removal.
- Respond to emergency clean-ups from leaks or resident issues.
- Travel between job sites as needed, potentially up to 40 miles one way.
