Custodian/Janitor - Chicago
About The Position
Merlin Day Academy is seeking a full-time Custodian/Janitor to join their team. This role involves cleaning and maintaining all rooms according to a provided schedule, which may vary based on company needs. The Custodian will also prepare treatment rooms for therapy to ensure the safety of staff and clients, sanitize high-usage areas, and clean office, kitchen, and high-traffic areas multiple times daily. The position requires assisting management as needed, reporting directly to a supervisor, attending staff meetings and company events, and adhering to all company policies and procedures. Additional tasks may be assigned as needed.
Requirements
- 1 year of custodian experience
- Experience working in a school or alike setting with children and/or clients with special needs preferred
Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain organization of all rooms based on provided schedule; site location may vary depending on company needs.
- Prepare treatment rooms for therapy to ensure safety of all staff and clients.
- Sanitize highly used areas with provided schedule.
- Clean office work areas, kitchen areas, and high usage areas several time daily.
- Assist management as needed.
- Report directly to your supervisor.
- Attend staff meetings and company events as needed.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Additional tasks as needed.
