This position must achieve and maintain the highest possible standards of custodial responsibilities. The Custodian II position is responsible for maintaining the appropriate amount of supplies while ensuring appropriate budgetary guidelines are being followed. This position requires routine manual labor associated with daily cleaning and security and safe operation of District facilities. Employees in this job classification perform various duties requiring moderate physical strength. Typical routine duties include, but are not restricted to: cleaning education facilities. classrooms, lecture halls, study halls, cafeterias, libraries, gymnasiums, restrooms, locker rooms, offices, athletic areas, equipment rooms, hallways, common areas, outside and other building and office areas. Additionally, this position requires lamp replacement, operation of basic mechanical cleaning equipment, policing trash from grounds and playground watering turf, sweeping sidewalks, and performing other tasks associated with the prescribed housekeeping program and snow removal program. Demonstrating exceptional interpersonal skills and relationships with co-workers, staff, students, and the general public are requirements for this position.
