About The Position

This position independently performs a range of tasks related to maintaining building interiors and furnishings in Capitol Complex managed facilities. Assignments may include keeping exterior walkways clear of debris and snow. This position is for the day shift 7:30 am - 4:00 pm. A summary of the duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following: Custodian/Housekeeping Services – Office and common area cleaning including trash removal, dusting, vacuuming, window cleaning, multi-surface cleaning, brass cleaning and polishing, hard-surface floor cleaning and recycling. Restrooms cleaning including trash removal, fixtures, stocking supplies, sweeping and mopping. Emergency response and other duties as assigned - Position may be called upon for additional duties that may include snow removal, emergency response and assistance (such as a flooded floor), inventory counts, meetings, and assisting other trades with various projects.

Requirements

• At least six (6) months of relevant experience in an occupation related to professional, commercial custodian work.
• Need to be able to stand for at least 8 hours/day
• Able to exert force to move up to 100 pounds occasionally, stooping, kneeling and crouching.
