About The Position

Amentum is seeking an Industrial Janitor in Atlanta, GA to provide the cleaning and upkeep of an assigned area for an industrial & office facility. This is a full-time position. Monday - Friday 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (shifts may vary based on business demand.) Hiring hourly range: $16.00 an hour to start, depending upon relevant skills, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant based upon internal equity, and alignment with market data. Requirements

  • Must have a minimum of a completed HS Diploma or GED certificate.
  • Relevant experience in industrial or commercial cleaning.
  • Knowledge of applicable safety policies and procedures (SDS, OSHA).
  • Ability to obtain a security access badge at our client’s location.
  • Ability to work an alternative schedule to include weekends and some holidays.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain facility/security credentials/ authorization.
  • Note: US citizenship or Permanent Residency is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.
  • This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization.
  • May require a valid driver’s license issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles.

Responsibilities

  • Cleans and maintains buildings/facilities.
  • Performs heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing trash.
  • Notifies managers concerning the need for minor or major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
  • Establishes and maintains effective communication and working relationships with clients, co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, managers, etc.
  • Complies with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures established by the Company, Clients, and regulatory authorities.
  • Cleaner must be flexible and willing to complete all tasks that are assigned.
  • Cleans building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.
  • Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
  • Utilizes ladders, dusts and washes furniture, walls, blinds and select equipment; cleans ceilings and dusts light fixtures and ceiling vents.
  • Removes stains from surfaces such as carpet, drapes/shades, walls, and floors using chemicals and cleaning solutions.
  • Prepares cleaning solutions per specifications.
  • Strips, seals, finishes, and polishes floors.
  • Cleans and vacuums carpeted areas, including application of spot cleaning treatment.
  • Gathers trash and empties in appropriate trash and recycling bins.
  • Wipes and cleans tabletops, chairs, refrigerators, microwaves, etc.
  • Cleans and polishes furniture and fixtures.
  • Services, cleans, and supplies restrooms.
  • Cleans interior partition glass, windows, glass partitions, and mirrors.
  • Keeps janitor’s closet neat and orderly and maintain equipment in good working order.
  • Monitors building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and possibly checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created.
  • Drives vehicles (if required) to perform or travel to other facilities to clean, including vans, industrial trucks, golf carts, or industrial vacuum cleaners.
  • Provides special cleaning and support during client events, as needed.
  • Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.
