About The Position
The Custodian/Housekeeper position at CNVH - Kearney is responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary environment for residents and staff. This role involves cleaning various areas within the facility, including resident rooms, restrooms, offices, and common areas. The job also includes tasks such as removing laundry, assisting with linen delivery, emptying trash, and performing floor care. Requirements
- No specific education, training, or experience is required for entry to this class.
- Must be 18 years old.
- Knowledge of custodial/housekeeping duties.
- Knowledge of basic cleaning equipment.
- Knowledge of industrial equipment.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to safely mix cleaning solutions to proper proportions using concentrated cleaning agents for a variety of surfaces.
- Ability to work independently or as a team.
- Ability to move around to work safely, lift and move lightweight objects.
- Ability to use common cleaning tools, lightweight vacuum cleaners and industrial equipment.
- Ability to maintain care and use of supplies, equipment, etc.
- Ability to work among hostile, emotionally upset, disabled and geriatric members.
- Ability to read label directions, precautions and hazards.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in housekeeping/janitorial services.
Responsibilities
- Clean member's rooms, restrooms and facility offices to include walls, windows, and ceilings.
- Remove laundry from living areas; may assist with delivery of clean linen and personals to resident's rooms.
- Empty trash containers.
- Carpet care including vacuuming, spot removal & shampooing.
- Perform other floor cleaning duties; mop, buff and wax when necessary.
