About The Position

The Custodian is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and sanitation of the SAGE Center and Event Center, ensuring all spaces including exhibits, restrooms, classrooms, offices, and event areas are clean, safe, and welcoming. This role includes routine and deep cleaning, restocking supplies, and providing janitorial support during large community events, requiring strong attention to detail, reliability, and a commitment to creating a positive experience for all visitors, staff, and guests.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift and move equipment (up to 50lbs)
• Demonstrate enthusiasm and desire to serve SAGE Center visitors with excellent customer service.
• Ability to establish and effective working relationships with SAGE Center staff, volunteers, and the public.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends.
• Will be required to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, taking out the garbage, cleaning inside of windows, dusting desks, refilling paper products and cleaning bathrooms in various areas including offices, prep kitchen, conference rooms, restrooms, classrooms, theater, event center, and exhibit areas.
• Assisting at large events with both janitorial tasks and general event support.
• Performing other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
