About The Position

General Purpose of Job: Maintenance, Janitorial, & Driver. This role involves cleaning and maintaining all areas of the Corps, ensuring Salvation Army Vehicles are clean and fueled, performing daily building checks for attention, cleaning, or repair needs, and driving for various errands and program needs. The position also includes maintaining the grounds of the Corps property and managing janitorial supplies. Additionally, the role may involve supervising volunteers and community service workers.

Requirements

• Must have a current driver’s license.
• Basic knowledge of repairs, safe cleaning and building safety.
• Compliance of keeping to a structured schedule.
• A willingness to work in a fast paced, team atmosphere.
• Flexibility and patience, compassion for people

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain all areas of the Corps. This includes sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, removing trash, dusting, and cleaning windows. This includes the garage (interior and exterior).
• Ensure that all Salvation Army Vehicles are clean and fueled. Report and issues, both problems and periodic maintenance that may be needed.
• Daily, walk through the building and look for items that might need attention, cleaning or repair. Notify the Corps Officers of any of these issues and repair/replace when capable.
• Drive for various errands and/or needs in daily operations.
• Assist with seasonal driving needs for programs
• Maintain grounds of the Corps property including grass areas, landscaping, and parking lot.
• Maintain, notify when needed, and order any janitorial supplies.
• Any other duties deemed necessary by the Corps Officers.
• Supervise volunteers and community service workers when needed.
