About The Position

General Purpose of Job: Maintenance, Janitorial, & Driver. This role involves maintaining the cleanliness and operational readiness of the Corps property and vehicles, as well as assisting with driving duties and grounds maintenance. The position also includes supervising volunteers and community service workers as needed. The Salvation Army is an equal opportunity employer.

Requirements

Must have a current driver’s license.
Basic knowledge of repairs.
Basic knowledge of safe cleaning practices.
Basic knowledge of building safety.
Compliance of keeping to a structured schedule.
A willingness to work in a fast-paced, team atmosphere.
Flexibility and patience.
Compassion for people.

Responsibilities

Clean and maintain all areas of the Corps, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, removing trash, dusting, and cleaning windows.
Clean the garage (interior and exterior).
Ensure that all Salvation Army Vehicles are clean and fueled.
Report any issues, both problems and periodic maintenance that may be needed for vehicles.
Conduct daily walk-throughs of the building to identify items needing attention, cleaning, or repair.
Notify the Corps Officers of any identified issues and perform repairs/replacements when capable.
Drive for various errands and/or needs in daily operations.
Assist with seasonal driving needs for programs.
Maintain grounds of the Corps property, including grass areas, landscaping, and the parking lot.
Maintain, notify when needed, and order any janitorial supplies.
Perform any other duties deemed necessary by the Corps Officers.
Supervise volunteers and community service workers when needed.
