About The Position

The City of Webster's Public Works Department seeks a reliable team player for the position of Custodian- Crewman II. The purpose of this position is to provide cleaning services in City of Webster buildings. Services include, but are not limited to, cleaning and sanitizing kitchens, restrooms, offices, conference rooms, floors, and carpets. Other duties include trash removal, dusting, cleaning windows, cleaning stairwells, and stocking paper goods, soaps, and other supplies daily. General work schedules are 5:00 am to 2:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional schedule variations for events. Ideal candidates are self-motivated, dependable, meticulous, team players.

Requirements

• Minimum of six (6) months' commercial custodial experience.
• Valid Texas Class "C" Driver's License.
• Must be capable of safely operating cleaning equipment and utilizing cleaning chemicals in a safe, responsible manner.
• Ability to communicate effectively with employees and the public.
• Ability to read instructions, write reports, understand verbal directions, and converse effectively with co-workers and supervisors.
• Must be able to provide services during emergency situations as an Essential Services position.

Responsibilities

• Provide cleaning services in City of Webster buildings.
• Clean and sanitize kitchens, restrooms, offices, conference rooms, floors, and carpets.
• Perform trash removal.
• Dust surfaces.
• Clean windows.
• Clean stairwells.
• Stock paper goods, soaps, and other supplies daily.
