About The Position

At DSHS, we partner with people to access support, care, and resources, and this position plays an important role in helping us fulfill that mission every day. As a Custodian 2, you will play an important role within the Finance, Technology, and Analytics Administration (FTAA), helping maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors. Your work will directly support the well-being and comfort of those we serve while contributing to the daily operations of the campus. Requirements
- A valid state driver’s license.
- Six months to one year of experience in housekeeping, janitorial, custodial, or general building maintenance work.
- The ability to read, write, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions effectively.
- The physical ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Transport, move, and arrange furniture and equipment throughout the facility.
- Empty trash and recycling receptacles to maintain a clean and sanitary environment.
- Sweep, vacuum, and mop floors in resident and common areas.
- Clean and unclog sinks, toilets, and urinals in restrooms and facility spaces.
- Dust surfaces and clean windows to help maintain a safe and welcoming environment.
- Pressure-wash outdoor walkways and exterior areas as needed.
