About The Position

This intermediate, individual contributor role eliminates distractions in a safe and efficient manner by keeping assigned areas clean, sanitized, and orderly. The employee may also help with grounds, special events, or other manual labor duties. Work is performed under general supervision, with self-directed handling of moderately complex issues and referral of more complicated issues to higher-level staff. The role may provide leadership, coaching, or mentoring to others. The work may involve damp, dusty, or dirty areas and the use of cleaning solvents and chemicals. On-call responsibilities may be required, and the employee may be assigned executive VIP responsibilities.

Requirements

Certify in the use of any needed equipment, including sweepers, buffers, lifts, carpet-cleaning machinery, and high-rise power washers.
Understand basic instructions, complete basic tasks, and handle basic issues and problems.
Independently lift and position objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and occasionally team lift and position objects weighing up to 100 pounds.
Stand, walk, kneel, squat, stoop, push, pull, twist, bend, and perform repetitive movements for extended periods.
Work from ladders, scaffolds, and mechanical lifts for extended periods.
Work with commercial-grade cleaners and chemicals.
Work professionally with others and independently without constant supervision.
Have a positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team.
Understand English for general communication, video training, building security, and safety.
Understand instructions verbally and in writing, and ask clarifying questions as needed.
Comply with all regulations associated with handling chemicals.
Be a Church member worthy of a temple recommend.

Nice To Haves

Working knowledge of the subject matter; typically two years of related work experience is preferred.
Experience with project work or executive cleaning.
Ability to work outside during all seasons, temperatures, and types of weather, if required.
A valid driver's license, if required.
Ability to pass a criminal background check, if required.

Responsibilities

Clean offices, restrooms, public areas, and fixtures as instructed.
Operate mechanized cleaning equipment, including vacuums, polishers, buffers, scrubbers, sweepers, power washers, and extraction equipment.
Operate balers, shredders, aerial lifts, and forklifts.
Clean windows and building exteriors.
Clean carpets, rugs, upholstery, and drapes.
Sanitize areas, furnishings, or fixtures as instructed.
Wet or damp mop floors.
Dust or polish furnishings, light fixtures, window sills, wood paneling, and other items.
Dispose of trash, waste, and other materials.
Perform emergency cleanups, including floods, bodily fluids, and spills.
Restock supplies.
Move furniture, supplies, and miscellaneous equipment.
Remove leaves or snow.
Report safety or security issues and needed repairs.
Perform other duties and attend meetings as assigned.
Help with grounds, special events, or other manual labor duties when assigned.
