About The Position

WSU Tri-Cities is seeking a Custodian 1 to help maintain welcoming, clean, safe, and well-prepared facilities for students, employees, campus partners, and visitors. In this role, you will perform routine custodial and housekeeping duties within assigned campus areas, using established schedules and procedures to care for classrooms, offices, common areas, laboratories, restrooms, floors, furnishings, and equipment. You will also set up and take down furnishings and equipment for campus events, respond to assigned custodial requests, maintain custodial tools and supply areas, and participate in campus emergency response activities as needed. The regular schedule is Monday through Friday, eight-hour shifts between 6:00 AM and 2:30 PM. Occasional later shifts from 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM, as well as occasional weekend work, may be required to support campus events. Schedule changes will be communicated in advance and made in accordance with policy.

Requirements

Minimum age of 18.
Physical ability to perform the duties of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to work occasional night and weekend shifts to meet the needs of the campus and program partners.
Ability to obtain Department of Energy clearance for building access.
