About The Position

The Custodial Worker keeps the assigned area clean and orderly at the Main Plant. The role involves sweeping floors to remove dirt and trash, mopping floors and step wells to remove soil and dirt, and using peroxide chemical detergent and NABC cleaning/disinfectant. The employee must wear required personal protective equipment and perform other duties common to this type of work as assigned.

The employee must communicate problems to the immediate supervisor and follow safety procedures. The work includes regularly standing, walking, using hands, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, and lifting or moving items up to 25 pounds. The employee may occasionally be exposed to moving mechanical parts; noise is usually moderate.

Requirements

• Three months of cleaning experience.
• Prior related experience and training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to communicate problems to the immediate supervisor.
• Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to perform the physical activities described, including standing, walking, handling items, reaching, and stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
• Required vision abilities include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Closed shoes, gloves, a mask, and goggles are required personal protective equipment.
