About The Position

This is work performing housekeeping duties including cleaning restrooms, classrooms, offices, common-use areas, and carpet and tile floors in accordance with the APPA cleaning standards. The incumbent's work is reviewed by the supervisor for accuracy and to ensure instructions are being followed. This position is designated as a Tier 2 respondent for designated campus emergencies and events. In the event of a declared campus emergency, the position incumbent will make every effort to return to campus when directed.

Requirements

• Completion of ninth (9th) grade or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219.
• Some positions may require possession of a classified driver’s license appropriate to a type of vehicle operated.
• Requires a background check.
• May require a credit check.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain restrooms, classrooms, offices, kitchens, conference rooms, banquet rooms, large assembly rooms, auditoriums, halls, common areas, stairways, elevators, building entrance areas, windows, doors and display cases.
• Perform additional floor cleaning and maintenance duties.
• Provide manpower during events.
• Clean up after events.
• Receive and deliver supplies.
• Assist other departments as needed.
• Pick up materials from vendors.
