About The Position

The Environmental Services Department at Jefferson Community and Technical College has an opening for a full-time Custodial Worker for the Downtown campus. This is a second shift position (2 pm to 10pm).

Requirements

• High School/GED, and one-year related experience, or equivalent

Nice To Haves

• Previous cleaning and custodial experience
• Knowledge of cleaning machines and cleaning tools

Responsibilities

• Provide clean and sanitary facilities for students, staff, faculty, and the general public on a daily basis.
• Perform floor maintenance such as shampooing carpet, sweeping, moping, stripping, waxing and buffing.
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Ensures cleanliness, orderliness, and safety in assigned areas.
• Utilizes basic equipment and supplies to clean assigned facility areas and remove waste and recyclables.
• Monitors and secures facility interior and exterior entrances, reports issues to appropriate entities.
• Maintains organization of supply areas and equipment, documents inventory and requests additional supplies as needed.
• General classroom or building cleaning, bathroom cleaning and sanitation and simple floor care.
