About The Position

Intermediate District 287 is seeking a full-time Custodial Worker to perform cleaning, maintenance, and repair tasks for District buildings and equipment. This role is crucial for maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly environment within the facilities.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Demonstrated ability to assume responsibility for a clean and orderly building in compliance with standards and regulations.
Adequate physical strength, stamina, physical agility, and visual and auditory acuity.
Ability to maintain physical fitness to perform the duties of the class.
Employees may be required to lift moderate to heavy weights.
Employees may be exposed to significant levels of dust, heat, noise, extreme weather conditions and risk of injury from equipment and assaultive and/or abusive students.

Responsibilities

Performing custodial tasks involving building and equipment maintenance (operational and remedial).
Cleaning and providing general maintenance of District buildings.
