Custodial Worker
About The Position
This position performs tasks associated with housekeeping and the maintenance of University buildings as pertaining to custodial/housekeeping duties. The role involves cleaning interior walls, windows, floors, restroom fixtures, tile, woodwork, and furniture. It also includes vacuuming, stripping, re-waxing or polishing floors, and moving furniture. The employee will practice safe work habits, proper safety procedures, and use proper personal protective devices or clothing when applicable. They must exercise due caution and practice safe work habits when using cleaning chemicals and equipment, and actively participate in the safety training program. The employee is responsible for their personal safety and the safety of others at all times.

Responsibilities
- Assist and perform as directed the various duties of the custodial department.
- Cleaning interior walls, windows, floors, restroom fixtures, tile, woodwork, furniture.
- Vacuuming, stripping, re-waxing or polishing floors.
- Moving furniture.
- Other duties as assigned.
