About The Position

The Custodial Worker 1 supports daily upkeep of the Pennsylvania State Police Greensburg Regional Laboratory and Greensburg DNA Laboratory. The position maintains clean, safe, and functional buildings and grounds for staff and visitors. Work includes cleaning and caring for floors, restrooms, surfaces, supplies, tools, and outdoor areas. This is a full-time, onsite position scheduled for 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with a 30-minute lunch. Telework is not available.

Requirements

• Possess a valid driver's license.
• Be able to perform the essential job functions.
• Pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, vacuum, mop, buff, and wax floors.
• Clean toilets, urinals, sinks, and showers; restock soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
• Empty trash and recycling containers and place collected materials in outdoor receptacles.
• Clean windows and mirrors and dust surfaces.
• Replace light bulbs and ceiling tiles when needed.
• Maintain adequate custodial supply levels and care for cleaning tools and equipment.
• Remove snow and ice from walkways, apply salt, and keep outdoor areas free of debris.
