Nice To Haves

• Willingness to work in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania
• Willingness to work a 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM shift
• Experience as a custodian, janitor, or cleaning person in an assisted living facility, nursing home, or hospital (Experience might include such things as cleaning restrooms; cleaning resident rooms, offices or public areas; mopping, scrubbing, dusting, sweeping, and buffing)
• Work experience interacting with patients or residents while cleaning in patient or resident rooms or a dining room setting
• Work experience with cleaning bodily fluids and disposing infectious waste into proper storage areas

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of rooms, common spaces, offices, restrooms, and other facility areas
• Carry out routine tasks such as mopping, dusting, sweeping, polishing, and sanitizing surfaces
• Replace soap, paper products, cleaning materials, and other needed supplies
• Remove trash, recyclable materials, and infectious waste and place them in proper disposal areas
• Shift furniture and equipment as needed to support cleaning tasks and room rearrangements
• Maintain safe work practices and report hazards or concerns to supervisors
• Assist with shoveling snow and clean debris from sidewalks
