About The Position
The Department of Conservation & Natural Resources (DCNR) is seeking reliable Custodial Worker 1s who take pride in maintaining park facilities and value Pennsylvania's natural landscapes. This role gives you the chance to make a visible difference every day throughout the grounds at Laurel Hill State Park. Your work will help visitors to enjoy safe, clean, and comfortable spaces while they enjoy their visit. This position helps keep park buildings, cabins and outdoor areas clean, safe and ready for public use.
Requirements
- Must be able to perform essential job functions.
- A conditional offer of employment will require submission of criminal history reports.
Responsibilities
- Clean and disinfect toilets, sinks, showers, floors, and walls in restrooms, bathhouses, and cabins
- Scrub floors, dust surfaces, and polish furniture and fixtures in park buildings
- Empty garbage cans, replace bags, and dispose of waste in dumpsters
- Replace light bulbs, make simple repairs, and report larger scale issues to the supervisor
- Pick up litter, mow and trim grass, shovel snow, and maintain walkways
- Operate a pickup truck or utility vehicle to move cleaning equipment and supplies throughout the park
