About The Position

Greenville University is seeking a Custodial Technician responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment across campus facilities, including academic buildings, administrative offices, residence halls, and common areas. This position plays a key role in supporting daily operations by ensuring that all spaces are clean, sanitary, and presentable for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Must be able to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying up to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

Previous custodial, janitorial, or housekeeping experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Perform routine cleaning and sanitizing of classrooms, offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors and other surfaces.
Empty trash and recycling containers and replace liners as needed.
Clean and disinfect restrooms, including fixtures and supplies.
Restock paper products, soap, and other necessary supplies.
Clean windows, glass doors, and interior surfaces.
Identify and report maintenance or safety concerns in a timely manner.
Assist with setup and cleanup for campus events, meetings, and special functions.
Follow established safety procedures and proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Perform seasonal or deep cleaning duties as assigned.
