About The Position

The Custodial Technician maintains a welcoming, clean, and sanitized facility and follows established policies and procedures to uphold high standards of cleanliness. The role includes cleaning and sanitizing rooms, furnishings, restrooms, and kitchen areas; managing waste; replenishing supplies; and performing basic maintenance tasks. The technician may also assist with event setup and cleanup and with chapel services or floral tributes.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Physically agile and dexterous.
• Proficient knowledge of cleaning equipment and agents.
• Proficient with handling basic maintenance repairs.
• Resilient to cleaning compounds and solutions.
• Ability to follow safety guidelines and take appropriate cautions.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, sanitized, and stocked facility.
• Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax floors, stairs, and horizontal surfaces; vacuum carpeting and furnishings; dust furniture and décor; and clean and polish glass tables, doors, mirrors, and similar surfaces.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms.
• Clean and sanitize the kitchen, including appliances, surfaces, and cabinet interiors.
• Collect and dispose of trash and debris inside the facility.
• Replace burned-out light bulbs inside the facility.
• Keep entry doors clean by removing dust, bugs, and webbing; sweep or vacuum exterior entry mats.
• Straighten and rearrange furniture and, if needed, spot-clean fabrics to remove stains.
• Maintain facial tissue and water dispensers and replenish supplies on an ongoing basis.
• Maintain adequate supplies of kitchen and cleaning materials; order supplies or advise management when reordering is needed.
• Notify management of emergency maintenance issues.
• May set up and clean up after team meetings or events, including disposing of food and waste.
• May assist with setting up and arranging chapel services or delivering floral tributes to visitation areas and the chapel.
