About The Position

In this entry-level position, the Custodial Technician keeps the office building in clean and working condition and maintains/sanitizes workstations, point of touch surfaces, walls, floors, ceilings, windows, doors, and any other building related areas, and performs daily safety inspections. The candidate's starting pay will fall within the salary range provided and is determined based on job-related factors, including, but not limited to, the experience; qualifications, licensure and certifications; knowledge; skills; business and organizational needs; and market conditions. Candidates with the minimum necessary experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skillsets for the position should not expect to receive the upper end of the pay range. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.

Requirements

Technical certificate: or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Valid driver’s license required.

Demonstrates good customer service and possesses basic knowledge in safety and security, general cleaning and sanitizing, minor upholstery cleaning, and inventory tracking.
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's.
Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Basic understanding of Microsoft Outlook and Teams, along with building management and security system software.
General insurance industry knowledge.
Ability to write simple correspondence as week as read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

Responsibilities

Performs routine preventative maintenance on cleaning equipment.
Notifies management concerning the need for major repairs.
Maintains a clean and sanitary work environment.
Maintains flooring (vacuum, buff, strip, wax, etc.).
Maintains cleaning supply inventory.
Maintains exterior and grounds of property by performing duties including cleaning and landscaping duties.
Assists in providing security and safety for the Society.
Performs daily safety inspections.
