About The Position

You’ll provide critical support that makes healing happen. We’d love to have you join us. Supervisor oversees housekeeping functions for multiple office buildings and the medical center. Responsible for daily supervision. Ensure housekeeping/maintenance standards of meeting and exceeding customer expectations are kept. Provide on-the-job training to staff, including proper use of chemicals and equipment, and ensure compliance with published safety standards.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of effective cleaning techniques and routine preventive maintenance.
  • Proficiency with all techniques and equipment used in department, i.e., floor machine, automatic floor scrubbers, vacuums, floor sanders to prepare wood floor for refinishing.
  • Ability to express ideas clearly, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to plan, train and provide work direction to others in a manner that is conducive to full performance and high morale of the employee.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Maintains and has a positive and helpful attitude with patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Responds to and resolves complaints with a sense of urgency.
  • Works under constantly changing environment, sometimes under stressful conditions.
  • Adheres to Department and University Attendance Policy and Guidelines.
  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach and climb stairs and ladders for long periods of times.
  • As a condition of employment, the final candidate who accepts an offer of employment will be required to disclose if they have been subject to any final administrative or judicial decisions within the last seven years determining that they committed any misconduct; or have filed an appeal of a finding of substantiated misconduct with a previous employer.
  • Current/former UC employees are subject to a personnel file review.
