About The Position

The custodial supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating activities of workers engaged in cleaning and maintaining premises of a behavioral healthcare hospital. This role requires ensuring a high level of cleanliness that meets customer expectations, managing supplies and equipment, and maintaining effective communication with customers and management.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Two years related experience and/or training preferred.
Must be able to pass background checks as required by site.
Must have a Real ID to begin the background check process.
Must have strong communication skills to coordinate customer needs and expectations and supervise staff.

Responsibilities

Supervising and coordinating activities of workers engaged in cleaning and maintaining premises.
Acting as the point of contact for the customer and ensuring prompt addressment of all requests.
Maintaining regular communication with the customer and manager regarding site updates, progress, issues, or concerns.
Scheduling staff and ensuring adequate coverage for site duties.
Following the daily job routine and using correct step-by-step procedures for cleaning tasks.
Following manufacturer's recommendations for cleaning solutions and equipment, and adhering to all safety procedures when operating equipment.
Assigning tasks to workers and inspecting completed work for conformance to standards.
Maintaining, ordering, and issuing supplies and equipment, including inventory of needed supplies.
Keeping all equipment, supplies, and supply rooms in an orderly fashion.
Resolving workers' problems or referring matters to the Manager.
Submitting requests for repair of equipment to the Manager.
Assisting in performing duties of workers supervised.
Ensuring a level of cleanliness that meets the quality expectations of the customer.
Interacting with fellow employees and the public in a courteous and friendly manner.
Contributing information for employees' annual reviews as requested.
Performing and completing payroll as required.
