About The Position

Appleseed Community Mental Health Center is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Custodial Specialist. This part-time position works Monday through Friday, starting at 6:30 a.m., for approximately 4–5 hours per day. Occasional additional hours may be required based on agency needs; however, the position will not exceed 29 hours per week. The Custodial Specialist is responsible for performing a variety of cleaning tasks & assisting in maintenance tasks to ensure our facility remains clean, safe, and welcoming.

Requirements

Previous custodial, janitorial, or general maintenance experience preferred.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks, including bending, moving/lifting, reaching, and standing for extended periods.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
Reliable transportation for travel between multiple locations
Dependable and punctual

Responsibilities

Perform custodial cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces.
Clean and restock restrooms, common areas, and offices.
Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the buildings, including entrances and hallways.
Maintain and organize cleaning supplies and supply closets.
Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel.
Assist with minor maintenance and facility upkeep tasks, including lawn care, snow removal, and other maintenance duties as needed.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
