About The Position

Intermediate District 287 is seeking a part-time Custodial Worker for their New Hope location. This role involves performing custodial tasks, including building and equipment maintenance (both operational and remedial), cleaning, and general maintenance of District buildings. The position is Monday through Friday, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Demonstrated ability to assume responsibility for a clean and orderly building in compliance with standards and regulations
• Adequate physical strength, stamina, physical agility and visual and auditory acuity
• Maintain physical fitness to perform the duties of the class
• A pre-employment physical examination is required
• May be required to lift moderate to heavy weights
• May be exposed to significant levels of dust, heat, noise, extreme weather conditions and risk of injury from equipment and assaultive and/or abusive students
