About The Position

The Custodial Helper assists the plant manager in maintaining the safety, security, cleanliness, and appearance of the physical plant. This role involves cleaning various areas, responding to requests, and performing other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Must be able to read and comprehend service order and repair request documents.
• Must be able to read and write.
• Must be able to comprehend instructions on the operation of equipment of all types.
• Must be able to comprehend instructions on the use of chemicals used in cleaning operations.
• Ability to conduct activities in group settings maintaining an objective attitude, decorum, diplomacy, tact, and discretion.
• Ability to comprehend written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of halls and entrances.
• Clean walls and windows.
• Check dressing rooms.
• Clean classroom units according to schedule and specific school needs.
• Be responsive to the coordinator, plant manager, and/or assistant custodian.
• Perform all other duties as required by the plant manager or Coordinator of Maintenance & Custodial Services.
