About The Position

VGS is a highly acclaimed, successful, private, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) vocational rehabilitation agency with over 135 years of dedicated experience serving persons with disabilities or other barriers to employment. We are currently seeking to hire an Account Manager to manage all aspects of an Office Building Account.

Requirements

  • Five years experience in the building services management field.
  • At least one year of management experience.
  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; three years supervision in Custodial Contract Services or at least three years of management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be able to pass criminal background check.
  • Must have strong communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

  • Administering all aspects of Custodial Department, including fiscal responsibility.
  • Training, developing and supervising site supervisors to ensure high quality and efficient service to all clients and customers.
  • Inspecting for quality control of contract sites and ensuring that quality meets customer parameters.
  • Contract procurement and rapport with customers and office managers.
  • Purchasing supplies and equipment within allocated budget requirements.
  • Maintaining appropriate records to ensure financial accountability.
  • Maintaining and repairing all equipment, including but not limited to, janitorial equipment and assigned vehicles.
  • Performing work or supervising others in stripping and refinishing hard floor surfaces and carpet cleaning.
  • Assisting with snow removal of grounds and maintaining a snow crew available on call-in basis.
  • Distributing supply equipment and payroll to our accounts as directed.
  • Implementing orientation sessions for clients and all other employees.
  • Ensuring all aspects of the program are in keeping with DOL, CARF, OPCRP, SourceAmerica , DOD, ODOT, GSA, SCA and all other applicable accreditation and quality control standards.
  • Developing employees who can become successful administrators.
  • Assisting Site Supervisor in assuring that program participants who participate in the program are delivered quality service and a positive experience.
  • Assisting the General Manager of Services in ensuring that the program participants meet the goals of their individual rehabilitation plan.
  • Maintaining a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a positive manner that gets along with program participants, co-workers, and supervisors.
