About The Position

Founded in 1971, Colorado Springs Christian Schools (CSCS) is one of Colorado’s leading Christian educational schools for grades K-12. CSCS is a private, non-denominational school accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI). All courses are taught from a Christ-centered, biblical perspective by a committed and caring faculty. Spiritual Doctrine Demonstrates a spiritual maturity in attitude, actions, and speech, showing a consistent walk with Jesus Christ. In all work, is sensitive to the spiritual needs of students and parents, and co-workers. All employees are viewed as ministers of the Gospel; duties such as leading devotions, prayer, Scripture reading, and integrating biblical truths in daily job responsibilities are integral to all employment positions. General Purpose To manage all aspects of the curriculum while observing the mission of the school to provide excellent academics from a Christ-centered, biblical perspective for lifelong service.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree with a major in curriculum and instruction from a recognized college or university preferred, ability to obtain a valid ACSI administrator’s certificate.
  • Four (4) years of successful experience as a teacher and two (2) years successful experience in school administration and supervision preferred.
  • Strong speaking, writing, and financial skills.
  • Evidence of spiritual maturity; Shows consistent walk with Jesus Christ; Strong grasp of the essence of Christian education.
  • Has the ability to be sensitive to the spiritual needs of the people under the position of Curriculum Supervisor.
  • Ability to motivate others and communicate with various constituencies.
  • Ability to attend functions/meetings beyond the scope of the normal workday.
  • Each member of the faculty and staff annually by contract, shall affirm, in writing, his/her commitment to the Doctrinal Statement.

  • Experience on a leadership team preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains and directs the Curriculum Review Cycle for K-12 school making sure that each step is appropriately accomplished within the prescribed timeframe
  • Communicates with principals and staff regarding the adoption of new curriculum and any changes that develop from the curriculum review cycle
  • Trains staff on adopted curriculum
  • Updates Curriculum Trak to maintain the vertical alignment of curriculum across the campuses; stays current with current curriculum standards
  • Facilitates curriculum meetings as assigned by the Superintendent or his designee
  • Communicates needed budget changes to the Chief Operations Officer.
  • Manages the Curriculum Budget
  • Oversees the ordering of all curriculum
  • Reviews assessment data as it ties into CSCS expected student outcomes and curriculum
  • Oversees the curriculum inventory and distribution while recycling old curriculum
  • Oversees end-of-year faculty check-out as it relates to curriculum
  • Stays up to date on changes in curriculum along with various publishing companies
  • Commit and fully support the missional and organizational standards including our Core Values, Mission Statement and Doctrinal Statement
  • Participates on Leadership Team preparing strategic goals
  • Performs such other tasks as may be assigned by the Superintendent or his designee
