About The Position

Southern Cross Catholic College is seeking an experienced and dedicated Curriculum Leader - Humanities and Languages. This is a full-time, permanent teaching role with a fixed-term appointment to the Curriculum Leader position concluding in 2030. The Curriculum Leader supports the mission of Southern Cross Catholic College, Annandale through leadership of the Secondary learning and teaching program by ensuring that appropriate pedagogies are developed and implemented at all levels. The successful applicant will demonstrate leadership in three dimensions: leadership of teaching and learning, human leadership and strategic leadership. Guided by Catholic values, you’ll demonstrate authentic leadership that nurtures faith, compassion and community. Your ability to model integrity, foster relationships and create an inclusive, supportive environment will be key to the ongoing success of both students and staff.

Requirements

• Registered teacher with the Queensland College of Teachers
• Extensive classroom experience in the Humanities and Languages
• Deep understanding of the Australian Curriculum
• Deep understanding of QCAA Senior Secondary requirements
• Ability to model integrity
• Ability to foster relationships
• Ability to create an inclusive, supportive environment
• Motivated to work together to produce excellent outcomes for students
