The Curriculum Development Specialist for So I Send You will develop a curriculum to be used in the So I Send You Program, a five-year project of the Boston College Clough School of Theology and Ministry (CSTM) which will offer formative experiences to 160 pastoral leaders (both ordained and lay) from 16 parishes in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Boston (RCAB), organized into four cohorts over four years. The So I Send You curriculum will be a multilingual, modular resource designed to support parish leaders in understanding and practicing synodal leadership. Developed in collaboration with the So I Send You Assistant Program Director and cultural competency experts, the curriculum will: ● Take the form of a clear, practical, well-researched, and accessible modular resource. ● Primarily draw from the 2024 Final Document of the Synod on Synodality (FDSS), supplemented by complementary sources. ● Include practical tools for leadership development, community engagement, and spiritual formation. ● Be piloted and refined through feedback from participating parishes. ● Be adapted and available in Spanish, Portuguese, Haitian Creole, and Vietnamese to reflect the significant linguistic diversity in the RCAB. ● Be available to all parishes and organizations in the RCAB and beyond. ● Inform the eight educational sessions, especially the online course, launched in Year 3, as well as possible future Continuing Education offerings. This role requires strategic planning, content creation and evaluation, communication, a depth of knowledge of, appreciation for, and commitment to Catholicism and the Roman Catholic Church, and a deep understanding of and appreciation for Roman Catholic polity overall. The Curriculum Development Specialist holds primary responsibility for developing the curriculum for the So I Send You Program, which will be used with the parishes participating in the program and beyond. The Curriculum Development Specialist will use the primary themes for the So I Send You programming Theological Foundations Practical Leadership Skills Pastoral Models and Peer Sharing Spiritual Formation in Synodal Spirituality Advanced Leadership Development to develop content for multiple modalities. Drawing upon the 2024 Final Document of the Synod on Synodality, the Curriculum Development Specialist will identify and engage content experts as well as creatively manage input from So I Send You stakeholders. This is a part-time, grant funded position with funding through Spring 2027. The position will be 10-15 hours per week beginning in June 2026.
