About The Position

The Current Programming Intern will support Sony Pictures Television’s Current Programming department, which manages the day-to-day operations of television shows produced by the studio. The department’s executives guide scriptwriting, provide notes on episode cuts, liaise between shows and other SPT departments, and shepherd the creative process from start to finish. This paid, seasonal internship runs from January 4 or 11, 2027, through April 16, 2027, with flexible start and end dates. Interns must be available to work part-time, 10–29 hours per week, in person at the designated office location. The program offers hands-on work, structured learning, executive engagement, and networking opportunities.

Requirements

Passion for working at a major studio in scripted television.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Discretion in a busy corporate environment.
Extreme attention to detail and good organizational skills.
Enrollment in an accredited college or university for the duration of the internship.

Responsibilities

Provide backup coverage and general support for five department assistants to maintain administrative coverage across the department’s slate of shows.
Roll calls and take notes during calls and meetings.
Schedule meetings and other activities.
Maintain department organization and anticipate its needs.
Maintain show data in the Xpanse studio database and department staffing grids in Airtable.
Observe and engage with Current Programming and other SPT executives to learn how a studio operates.
