About The Position

Evergreen Armored, a subsidiary company of Maps Credit Union, seeks a full-time swing shift Currency Logistics Coordinator to provide efficient, timely, and accurate processing of cash and coin currency and other valuables on behalf of Credit Unions and Financial Institutions for their Nampa, Idaho branch. The ideal candidate has prior experience with cash handling and is accurate, detail oriented, and a team player. Requirements

Approximately 80% of the time is spent standing or moving around work areas. Balance of time (approximately 20%) is spent seated while working at a desk area.
Clear diction and acute hearing are necessary for effective communication with co-workers, members, and outside agencies, by telephone and in person.
Corrected vision close to 20/20 is necessary to use computers, handheld scanners effectively, and interpret written information.
The ability to lift and carry up to fifty pounds is necessary for transporting currency and/or cargo.
The ability to stoop and kneel is necessary for accessing vault and currency.
Good manual dexterity is necessary for computer keyboard use and for retrieving and working with appropriate paperwork, equipment, and supplies.
Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively and project a professional image when giving and taking information in writing, in person, over the phone, and via computer or other electronic means.
Ability to effectively establish rapport, present information, and respond to questions from customers and the general public. Skill and ability to meet people and listen.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret operational documents, policies, and regulations.
Ability to take the initiative and prioritize tasks; good-time management, problem-prevention, and problem-solving skills.
Accurate typing/keyboarding skills; basic computer skills, including the use of word processing software applications and e-mail.

High School diploma or equivalent.
At least 21 years of age.
Minimum of two years of experience in the financial industry, sales and service, security, or the equivalent combination of training and experience.
Minimum of two years of cash handling.
Requires the availability to work Monday – Friday and occasional Saturday hours.
Must be bondable.

Nice To Haves

Strong knowledge of Currency Processing and Bank Operation for processing procedures is preferred.

Responsibilities

Supervise the custody, control, and security of all vault items
Receive, verify, document and account for vault items
Maintain inventory of vault items, including multiple vaults
Supervise daily vault operations including but not limited to inventory management, opening, and closing of vault, check-in and check-out
Communicates with clients on vault needs and request orders through the Federal Reserve Bank
Assists in locating cash discrepancies and more complex tasks
Prepare outgoing orders for fulfilment, and prepare next day operations
Completes and records daily vault balancing in accordance with company policy
Participates with the Branch Manager in development and implementation of policy and procedures
Assists in daily cash operations, including but not limited to deposit verification, inventory management, and opening and closing procedures.
Coordinates daily processing needs, and observes productivity in cash processing
Follow regulatory and policy compliance requirements, which include those efforts in compliance with the Federal Reserve Bank, Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Regulations, Identity Theft Red Flags and other compliance related policies.
Maintain confidentiality and protect Evergreen operations by keeping negotiable instruments, cash, keys and member and/or Financial Institution information secure at all times.
Maintain workflow by cooperating with co-workers and providing necessary information to the appropriate people.
Enhance job performance by applying up-to-date professional and technical knowledge gained by attending training sessions and reviewing professional publications.
Participate in developing strategies for achieving logistic and customer goals.
