About The Position

The Ocean Vicinage is seeking college students with strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills for a paid internship opportunity within the court system. This internship provides hands-on experience in judicial operations and public administration while supporting court proceedings and services. Interns will perform a variety of clerical, administrative, and customer service duties in connection with matters instituted before the Court. Interns will gain broad exposure to court processes, case management, and the overall structure of the judiciary. This Internship is available for the Court User Resource Center/Ombudsman's Office.

Requirements

  • Thirty credit hours from an accredited college or university pursuing a degree.
  • Unofficial College or University transcript must be included in your application in order to be considered.
  • US citizenship is not required.
  • Selected candidate must be authorized to work in the US according to Department of Homeland Security, US Citizenship and Immigration Services regulations.
  • Newly hired employees must agree to a thorough background check that will include fingerprinting.
  • In accordance with N.J.S.A. 52:14-7 (L. 2011, Chapter 70), the "New Jersey First Act," all persons newly hired by the Judiciary within one year must establish, and then maintain, principal residence in the State of New Jersey.
  • Applicants must complete the work experience and education sections and attach any required documents.
  • Applications must describe all relevant work experience in detail, beginning with your current or most recent job, including military service (indicate rank), internships and job-related volunteer work, if applicable.
